The “Mane” Event
Lanier United Methodist Church
June 17-21, 2019
A summer kids’ event called Roar VBS will be hosted at Lanier United Church in Cumming from June 17 to June 19. At Roar, kids discover that God is good even when life get wild! Kids participate in memorable Bible-learning activities, sing catchy songs, play teamwork-building games, make and devour yummy treats, experience one-of-a-kind Wild Bible Adventures, collect Bible Memory Buddies to remind them of God’s love, and test out Sciency-Fun Gizmos they’ll take home and play with all summer long. Plus, kids will learn to look for evidence of God all around them through something called God Sightings. Each day concludes with the Safari Celebration that gets everyone involved in living what they’ve learned. Family members and friends are encouraged to join in daily for this special time at the end of the day. Come early for pick-up and watch the fun!
Roar VBS is for kids from age 4 to rising 5th graders and will run from 9 AM to Noon each day.

Welcome to Lanier United Methodist Church where all able people are expected to serve in the name of Jesus Christ! Every worship service concludes with the reminder that as we leave the building we are the church wherever we are.
While members of the church reach out to volunteer with The Place, Family Promise, Shore Cleanup, Camp Glisson, Wesley Woods, United Methodist Volunteers in Mission, Northside Forsyth Hospital, and a host of other organizations, a distinguishing characteristic of Lanier is the openness it exhibits for community organizations and services. Along with an accredited Pre-school, the church is home to 3 Cub Scout Packs, a Boy Scout Troop, and a Girl Scout Troop. There are 4 AA groups and an Al-Anon group meeting with us. Three home owners associations hold their meetings here. We are a polling place for Forsyth County elections.
Lanier Church is large enough to provide quality but small enough to need you and know you. Just as important as all listed, this church is welcoming and open to you. Don’t just drive by! Stop in and let us show you!
